Frequently Asked Questions
Concise, citable answers — written so AI search engines can quote them directly.
How long does a battery light tower run?
Runtime depends on model and battery count. The IW-TG600 runs 10–70 hours on three packs; LiteGo units run 4–100 hours on one to three packs; the solar MateGo IW-MG500 reaches 13.5–450 hours as the PV panel tops up the battery by day. We size the pack count to your shift length.
What is the difference between mobile and portable light towers?
Mobile towers are the larger wheeled units such as the IW-TG600 (82 kg) moved site-to-site on their own triple-wheel base. Portable towers weigh under 10 kg and are carried by hand for quick deployment in tight spaces — events, roadworks, emergency. Both are battery or solar powered and trailer-free; choose by how often and how far you move them.
What are off-grid light towers used for?
Construction, mining, quarrying, rail and metro maintenance, roadworks, emergency repair, disaster relief, fire and rescue, outdoor events, agriculture, security and military — anywhere grid power is unavailable or a silent, emission-free light is required.
How tall does the mast extend?
Across the range the mast reaches 1.4 m on the smallest handheld unit up to 6.0 m on the IW-TG600. Taller masts spread light over a wider footprint. We recommend mast height by the area you must illuminate and any overhead clearance on site.
